A visit to Egyptian Museum of Barcelona
10/24/2018

I visited the museum in Barcelona-Spain on 24th October 2018. The museum allows Egyptians to enter for free. But this was a private tour part of a conference I was invited to as a keynote speaker (3rd International Conference on Pharmacy and Medicine in Ancient Egypt)
The museum is small: a hall and a mezzanine floor; yet loaded with nice artefacts.

The permanent collection is sorted in sections, each contain few but unique objects.
- Positions and characters
- The Pharaoh
- Jewellery
- Stone and earthenware
- Cosmetics and eroticism
- Funerary beliefs and practices
- Funeral facilities
- The chapel for rituals
- Worship in temples
- Gods of Egypt
